What you can expect:
The special potential of our silent film shoots lies in the fact that the teams have the freedom to try things out and to behave mischievously without restriction or judgement. They are given support and are in a safe space. Because we believe that the best ideas come from the freedom to do whatever you feel like doing. That’s why a film shoot often inspires teamwork – also because the films can be watched again at any occasion (anniversary, summer party, Christmas party) and always bring back memories of this unique experience.
The silent film event is therefore ideally suited for getting teams to work together purposefully in a fun way. They learn to rely on each other and discover ideas that seem completely absurd at first – but often turn out to be brilliant when put into practice.
Also for shy people
We want everyone to feel free in front of the camera. And language is often an obstacle. That’s why we simply leave it out of our film shoots. In addition, sometimes a wig or a glued-on beard is enough to turn a shy person into an outgoing, funny character. In our experience, even the most introverted characters shine when they have fun in front of the camera. Our cameramen are also particularly skilled at working with amateurs and taking away their shyness. They support them in realising their ideas and presenting themselves in completely new ways.
Space + Personnel
For our silent film shoots, we need one workspace per team. The rooms can be your offices or the seminar rooms in a hotel or seminar centre. We are also happy to rent affordable rooms for you from our co-operation partner in Berlin Mitte.
Each team is assigned one of our experienced cameramen to assist the teams during the process of finding the film idea to the process of its realisation. You bring your own professional equipment with you. This also ensures the quality of the films.
Process
First, the participants receive a short warm-up from one of our employees to get them mentally and physically in the mood for the event. We give them an introduction to how a film script can easily be implemented. We have developed a storytelling principle that makes it child’s play for the teams to develop their film idea. We provide the teams with helpful tools that make it easier to find the basic idea.
Each team also receives a large basket full of costumes and props. These are put together according to the criteria ‘particularly colourful and as crazy as possible’ and offer the teams additional inspiration for their film projects. The teams are now perfectly prepared to immerse themselves in their silent film ideas. They go to their workroom with their filmmaker and the shooting of the film can begin.
Film screening with or without an Oscar award ceremony
Of course, a silent film event also includes an authentic film screening. We are happy to come to you, whether in a restaurant or hotel, where our witty and charming staff will present your films that were shot on the same day.
If you wish, we can also organise an Oscar presentation in the evening with (almost real) Oscar trophies!
Customised script idea
We would also be happy to discuss your film idea with you in advance and prepare a customised script that can then be realised by your employees. For example, the history of your company or scenes from everyday working life could form the basis for a customised script.
